Hi, I'm Chris, a photographer, writer, and conservation storyteller driven by a deep obsession with the natural world.

My childhood dream was to become a zookeeper. While time and a clearer understanding of animal welfare put that specific dream to bed, my passion for protecting the wild only grew.

After a decade working in marketing and communications across NGOs, startups, and small businesses, I realised I needed to align my daily work directly with my values. Today, I use my creative eye behind the camera and on the page to tell the stories that matter most, focusing on rewilding, biodiversity conservation, and the innovative ways communities and nature can thrive together.

I’m particularly drawn to the complex realities of conservation. Real solutions aren't simple, and lasting impact depends on honouring local and indigenous communities, the true guardians of most of our planet’s remaining biodiversity.

Based in the Netherlands, I try to live the values I advocate for, whether that’s sticking to a plant-based diet or navigating Europe by train, bus, and ferry rather than taking to the air.

Let’s Collaborate

If you’re a value-driven organisation, ethical business, or NGO working on the frontlines of the climate and biodiversity crisis, I’d love to help tell your story through video, photography, writing, or a short documentary.
